il2 1946 on win 7 64 home edition external view problems.

I have 4.11 that worked on xp with out any problems on 24in flat screen. Copied on to a new win7 64 desktop to  the C drive and loaded up with no problems loading. Have it on 31in lg flat screen at2560x1440 120hz screen. It plays fine at full screen size,but if you try external views  f2 external or f4 chase the game locks up. How ever i can cycle back and forth with f1 cock pit and f3 fly by. I have similar problems with my other versions of il2 1946. As long as I don't use external views it work fine so i have to use realistic settings in difficulty. I don't have any problems with the same hardware when using bos and dcs or mfsx . I have tried running xp compatibility and different screen size, resolutions. I just like to use external views . Was hoping some one has seen this and  had some suggestions.   The pc win7 64 home edition with i72600k gtx105ti 16gb of ram which I think should work OK.     THANKS
