Knarley-Bob Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Every time I fly one of these, I get a notification that there is low pressure in the injection manifold. Is there something that needs to be done, turned on or just ignore the notification? Thanks, KB
CUJO_1970 Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 This will happen if you leave it in the 81% range or just above...you want to be above or below this setting...the message you are getting is the MW-50 is not pressurized correctly for injection into the motor when you want to develop full power. There is a gauge for this in the cockpit. Below this you will not get the message as it is not injecting MW50 below this throttle setting. 1
CUJO_1970 Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 The reason is, over 1.42ata is emergency power so it is designed to go from 1.42ata to full boost only as it is at that boost the water starts to flow and provide charge cooling for the motor. There is not really an "in-between" 82-99%. So above 81% (which is really 100% without boost) you can the ruin engine because their is no charge cooling if you don't have the pressure built up in the water/methanol tank. 1
