MajorMagee Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 For those of you may want to try out something different than the stock tracks in Tank Crew. This includes Summer and Winter versions packaged in a JSGME friendly format. These will only be active if you have Mods turned on, and you can only use one or the other, but not both at the same time. 352ndOscar Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 Please check the folder/file structure of this mod. I believe the “data” folders should be inside the “Track - …” folders and not under the “il2…” folder within.
MajorMagee Posted March 1, 2022 Author Posted March 1, 2022 The zip file contains two folders that are named for use in JSGME. One mod folder set is for use in summer settings, and the other is for the winter. Inside those two folders is the standard folder levels that starts with IL2..., and works down from there through Data etc. until you reach the level where the game places the original versions of these files when it unpacks the GTP files. JSGME follows this directory structure to place the individual files in the game where they are expected to be found if you have Mods enabled. This assumes you have the JSGME Mods folder installed inside your 1C Game Studios directory next to the IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles folder. If JSGME is installed somewhere else then you will have to change the folder structure to match.
moustache Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 hello @MajorMagee, did the last update break your mod? in game, with the mod (for example the winter version...) the tracks remain "clean"...
MajorMagee Posted November 14, 2022 Author Posted November 14, 2022 I did a quick check and the mod is working as it should so it is compatible with the latest release. Just a reminder that there are two different versions of the mod, one for summer and one for winter. You can only have one installed at a time, so you have to decide what time of year you're going to be using before you start the game. It would be nice if the base game automatically selected from two different sets of default tracks depending on the seasonal ground cover. 1 1
MajorMagee Posted November 27, 2022 Author Posted November 27, 2022 Since I begrudgingly bought the Premium edition on sale I was able to finally complete the files for the collector vehicles as well. Beyond just having the snow build up on the tracks, I like what I was able to do with the tires for these.
MajorMagee Posted December 28, 2022 Author Posted December 28, 2022 And now here is a similar effort to enhance the Tires and Tracks of the AI Vehicles. AI Vehicle Tire and Track Mod 27 Dec 22.
