DarkWolf29 Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 Greetings, I was working on a P-51B skin when I noticed some strangeness on the left upper horizontal stab texture. The panel line and rivet detail seemed to be doubled up. I thought this was an issue between the full color template and the alpha template but found they matched perfectly. So it seems to be a mismatch between the texture and a hard coded bump map, comparing the other stab surfaces the issue is the texture and not the bump map. I then noticed that some of the official skins have the same issue with the rivets on that upper stab. You can see in the screenshot below (this is the "USAAF" official skin) how the rivets on the left stab appear doubled compared to the right side. Oddly this seems to affect only the bare metal official skins, the others that are fully camouflaged appear to be properly aligned. So this issue exists on the 51B templates though its not just the rivets on that upper left stab that are misaligned but seemingly alot of other details related to it. Rivets, panel lines, shading and weathering stuff, it appears to affect several layers. I think maybe everything got aligned with the already misplaced rivets? Comparing the official bare metal skins with the official camouflaged skins it seems these details need to be moved 12 pixels outboard and 10 pixels forward to align properly. Hope this info helps if it hasn't been noted already. DW
