If you use TrackIR, you first have to pause it, before you can move the pilot's head position.

No, I mean I want move my pilot head up by button, but the move pilot head button in game key mapping don't work, even without head tracking device connection. I use magnetic induction head tracking device called aimxy, which need three modules to enable 6dof, I lost one module so it can't move up and down.

When you try to bind the head-up/head-down controls to your joystick or keyboard, what does it do?  Does it show the control as bound, but it just doesn’t work?

Yes, exactly what you describe.

OK, I understand. I just tried it with my TrackIR and it even worked with the TrackIR connected, as long as the device didn't get a signal (the reflectors out of view). So it is strange that it doesn't work for you.

With your answer to SeaSerpent, my guess is, it might work if you delete the axis of your aimxy, which you want to replace by the key mapping. I had similar issues with trimming, that even that I disconnected my Throttle Quadrant, I use for the 110 for rudder trim, rudder trim for the 262 by button did not work. I had to delete the TQ axis and restart te game to make it work.

But moving your pilot's head to the sides with your device and only using the key mapping for moving the head up and down doesn't work with the TrackIR and will most likely not work with your device. You only can use the 'Bow pilot head vertical', which you can do with the mouse, too.

It work when head tracker don't connect today(yesterday I reboot my computer several times), but still don't work when connect. I ask aimxy developer, he says it's  the game problem, when tracker is connected, game automatically shields button input, and he can't delete z axis of tracker, because game's port for tracker is a whole group which can't be separated. I don't know if it's true or false.

Then I try f10 to save head position, but it's won't work, I use button move head up and press f10, restart game, still the initial position.

That is strange. What you can try is to delete the snapview of the aircraft you are flying in the file data/LuaScripts/snapviews, the game then writes the file new, when you start the game. Maybe you then have the correct position, as it should be the default head position. When you fly German aircrafts however, the default position seems to be drawn to the right, behind the gunsight, now. I think this was changed some updates ago. Before it was centered for German aircrafts, too. With aircrafts of the other nations, you shouldn't have this issue, anyway.
