Is this cool?

My band recorded an album and we did some amateur, homemade videos. I thought it would be fun to fly a Spitfire in a music vid...!

It was done for a laugh more than anything - but I don't know if this is infringing anything copyright-wise.

There's no profit involved (we'll be lucky to get our outlay back!) and it's good promo for the game I'm guessing.

If it's a problem I'll take it down. No probs. Cheers!

Thanks - what I really meant to ask was is it 'legal' to do this? Some games are more strict about it but I don't know..

Good number and very fine drive on the bass ( with Octavia ?? )

I play a baby bass myself - Fender Mustang ?

Nice one - that was an old 1970s Precision bass with a touch of chorus/compression.

Always fancied a Fender Mustang guitar.?

Very nice. Maybe turn on the "Head shake" when you record the track.

About the legal aspect of it, you should be talking with Jason. It's his game.

The music is soothing.? I like it.

Not if this is an original song.  It sounds like one and is quite good IMO.

As for 'legal' and the game yes, if you plan on releasing this on say YouTube and monetizing it you should let Jason know and see if he has any qualms.  I think if you prominently display that you used IL-2 it would be looked on as a promotional thing for the game.  Again I would look to Jason for guidance.

Nice sound.  I too am a bassist, (stock 70 P-Bass/Fender Jazz Aerodyne/1963 Danelectro short horn, 100% original).

So if you didn't use an octave box on the bass what instrument did you use it on?  It has a very distinctive sound,

Thanks guys - yes it's an original song but I can't see it getting enough views to be monetised...if it does I'll have to rethink!!

I credit IL2:Great Battles footage on the closing credits as that seemed the polite thing to do.

@Beebop didn't use any kind of octaver, could be the phaser with crunch on my SG though...!

‼️ I got it!  At 3:14 the bass and the guitar are playing duplicate lines an octave apart!  DOH!
