Bf109E7 official 4k Skins historically corrected

First up, my apologies for the lack of historical corrections recently.

The reasons for this are simply to numerous and varied to go in to, however as of now I am going to try and work through the daunting backlog of aircraft that the combination of my own tardiness and situations that were beyond my control have helped to create.

 

Noting also that I have only just completed (well almost) my new system build, which apart from taking far longer (and costing far more) than was expected, is now more or less stable enough to enable me to migrate across from my old system.

 

I still have some unresolved Nvidia tool / Photoshop issues that need to be sorted out, yet once I am fully confident that I have a handle on the situation, I will endeavor to "slowly" get to work on clearing those skins that still require historical correction.

 

As a start I present to you the 4k historically corrected official skins for the Bf109E7. 

 

Note: All bar the default skin were created with the legacy plug-in (until it decided to stop working and constantly crash PS), so it could still transpire that this particular skin may need to be replaced in the future, fingers crossed that hopefully it does not.

Note: Unless I've made a mistake, the missing skin numbers needed no corrections as these had no Hakenkreuz to begin with.

 

Default = \IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\Planes\target folder\Textures\?????.dds

Others = \IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\skins\target folder\?????_skin_*.dds

 

 

Target folder = bf109e7

 

Remember to make sure that mods is checked, as usual any problems just let me know.

I recently had to reinstall 'IL-2 Sturmovik : Great Battles' and I downloaded your historically-correct 4K default and official skins.

 

I've started testing the first two 'planes' and 'skins' (the Arado 234 and the Bf 109 E-2) which I downloaded and I have three questions which I would be grateful to receive your advice on:

 

- does the Arado 234 have/need a normalmap?

 

- 5 of the Bf 19 E-2's official skins aren't showing the swastika (these are the 'White', 'Western Front', 'Early', 'Desert' and 'Night' - the default and the other 6 skins do show the swastika) - have you got any idea why this is happening?

 

- I see that one can download revised normal maps (845 MB's worth) - should one install these in the 'planes/textures' folder of each aircraft (renaming the original ones of course)?

Having the same issues as well. Hopefully its an easy fix.
