Majpalmer Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 It's gone! Don't know what I did. I have a gunsight on my F4. Same settings. But no sight on the F2. I must have hit something to turn it off, but I don't know what it was, and I can't find a "turn gunsight on/off" command anywhere. Any ideas? Thanks!!!!
Guest deleted@83466 Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 So you’re saying you spawn a new airplane, hit E, and the sight never powers up. Might be a viewpoint problem? Your eye isn’t seeing the reticle? You know how to change and save default views, right?
migmadmarine Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Can you post a screenshot of the issue?
Majpalmer Posted February 15, 2022 Author Posted February 15, 2022 I found a few answers via Google. But none of them worked. Yes. I power up and there's no reticle. But only with the 109 F2. When I get assigned to fly an F4 (my unit has a collection of both), there's the reticle. Same in career and quick mission. F4 yes. F2 no. If it had been something I'd done with the settings, why wouldn't it effect both models of the 109? I concluded it wasn't something I'd set wrong; I decided to uninstall and reinstall. When I restarted, the reticle was back. I copied back my saved settings and it was still there, so it wasn't something in my settings. I then reinstalled the Mod I've been using--Il-2 Enhanced, and it was there. Lord knows what I did or how I did it. But it appears to be fixed. Thanks for the help. 1
Jade_Monkey Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 (edited) Did you change the default head position by mistake and can't see the sight? Try pressing NumPad Key 5 and if the reticle is visible then F10 to save that centered position. Please do the above without any head tracking. Edited February 15, 2022 by Jade_Monkey

I thought I might have done that, but then I would have had similar problems with other aircraft, like the F4, but I didn't. That's why I concluded that the best bet was to reinstall. And that worked. thanks.
