Can I delete Steam & reinstall with no negative results?

I am having seious freeze issues playing the sime thru Steam & wonder if a fresh install of Steam might help.Doesd anyone know of amy negative issues when doing so that might occur with GNBoX? I would like to lose all my settings or careers

If you only delete Steam your games should be fine, I did that couple days ago to fix SteamVR and had no issues. You'll probably just need to point out Steam libraries after reinstalling Steam if you have several on different drives, although if you don't do a clean reinstall then maybe even that won't be needed.
