Sound of explosions more than 600m away are silent in TC.

I've had tank crew for a while now and have just started playing more of it. On all the SP missions that came with TC, the explosions are silent if they are more than 600-800(estimate) meters away. Just wondering if maybe it is a problem on my end? For example, on the third tiger scripted campaign Mission when all the bombers drop on the town and all the explosions are going off it is just dead silent. At first I thought it might be my headpones like leaving surround sound on or something but that was a no go. Maybe a bad install? Anyone else have this issue?

. Single player or dogfight?  I hear far off artillery in Finnish very clearly even from inside my tank.  So it works for me in that regard. I don't play single player much though, sorry

It's not your imagination.I have noted this lack of battlefield sounds and the fact that you cannot hear the impact sounds of your shells hitting enemy tanks when you are relatively close. This is one of the lack of immersion aspect of this sim which fro me are a big turn off. Likewise the sounds of shells exploding or tanks brewing ups are lacking or very muted.  My suspicion is unless a modder can find a way to introduce them it's not a priority for the developers.

It's in SP, I've only ever played on Finnish server in tanks just started the SP campaigns for the first time. Come to think of it, I never noticed the issue in MP. Maybe its a SP issue only.
