LuftManu Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Hello everybody, Thanks for your time reading this. I was running BOS at Ultra, 4AA with: Gtx 560 Ti 2GB i5 2500 8Gb Ram Steady 30-40 Fps, I was very happy with my old system, but some weeks ago, my GPU and Hard Drives were damaged by Overheating. So, After that , I use it to buy a new one, and if I went for a 760 Gtx 2gb from Gigabyte. So, I will notice some improvements? As far as I read, I would, but some experts and users from this card will give me better opinions. Thanks for reading! Salute!
ZaknafeinTV Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 BoS and RoF are made on the same engine. RoF for smooth gameplay needs a strong CPU, and the same is here. My previous computer is a, amd phenom 955, 4gb ram and nvidia 560ti. I had at low settings about 20 to 30 frames. When I changed to the i7 4790k processor and memory to 8GB, and the card remains the same I have now 60 frames per settings balanced. S!
Soarfeat Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Hey Manu_vc, I went from a 560Ti to a MSI GTX 760 ( 2gb ) and with my below specs saw great improvement. I experimented with Ultra and High settings ( both on 4AA ) and actually can't see much difference between the two so just left it on High settings for better "umph !!! " The 770's have dropped in price since I have purchased my 760 and I am considering selling my 760 to upgrade to the 770 just to give me a little more time between major upgrades,( new cpu, motherboard, ram ). I do not believe the difference in performance between the new i-5's and my 930 warrants a 400 dollar investment yet and believe your 15 2500 will be fine as well. I am sure some more savvy techs can give a better assessment of this, it is just my opinion. The 760 is a great value for the performance boost you get. Good luck with this, Cheers--sf--
LLv44_Mprhead Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 As soarfeat said, you will most likely see improvement with that GPU upgrade.
LLv34_Flanker Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 S! You save a few FPS by using 2x FSAA as at a resolution of 1920x1080 that is enough, at least for me.
LuftManu Posted July 16, 2014 Author Posted July 16, 2014 Thanks everybody for the answers, I am so exited about the new GPU, Hope to run the game better for the years to come, With all of the new Expansions, theaters, etc. Again thanks for your time! Hope I can meet you all in the skies!
