messsucher Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 There is a VR experience of bombing run on Germany made by RAF. It is rather artistic expression, a show I would say, but still interesting and worthwhile to check out if you have VR equipment. https://store.steampowered.com/app/513490/1943_Berlin_Blitz/

Ok, was interested to hear historic flight simmer's opinion. What I found impressive was the BBC journalist, there aren't anymore even journalists like him.
Cybermat47 Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 Looks great, I'm tempted to get VR just to try it out. The campaign against Berlin from November 1943 to March 1944 was a nightmare for Bomber Command. 'Bomber' Harris stated before the campaign that 'It will cost us between 400 and 500 aircraft. It will cost Germany the war.' He was right about one thing, as the Allied forces under his command lost around 500 aircraft in about 4 months. No. 460 SQN RAAF alone lost 25 aircraft in three months. 2,690 aircrew were killed and around 1,000 were taken prisoner.
messsucher Posted February 14, 2022 Author Posted February 14, 2022 Yeah, well, it has been tough on the ground and up in the air.
