Knarley-Bob Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 It would be really cool, if, when flying for different squadrons that the planes be painted so. Would really add depth to the experience.......... 1
migmadmarine Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 They have said that they are limited in how much can be applied via the new dynamic decals system, so I think a built in solution is unlikely. What I hope to see is something akin to the Rise of Flight system of having skin packs that are officially compatible with the the career mode that appear for different squadrons, then use the dynamic lettering system to apply squadron lettering and individual letters/numbers as appropriate.
Knarley-Bob Posted April 2, 2022 Author Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) So, all squadrons will continue as a generic paint job? Kind of defeats the purpose of having all those bases scattered around, and showing all the different squadron logos. Being in a flight with a different skin is like being the odd man out, does that attract more interest from The AI? Kinda like a Mallard flying with Teal one would think. I know the pilot can't see the skin job of the plane he's flying, but wouldn't it be a sight to see the colors of the squadron he's flying with, other than just a generic 'factory' paint job? Food for thought.........and perhaps a suggestion. KB EDIT: This does kinda work on quick missions. I'm speaking of Careers........ Edited April 2, 2022 by Knarley-Bob

It's already technically possible in careers; one of the career files can contain a skin definition per squadron. It's just not used anywhere, that I know of. It'd require a huge time investment to make all the squadron skins, not to mention the disk space it's gonna take... 1
