Beebop Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 The mod works fine in latest version but when I disable it in JSGME I still go to the position. Difference is I'm zoomed in a bit. Unloading the mod in JSGME does not help. If I unload all mods in JSGME the issue remains so it's I don't think it's some interlinked mod issue. Only if I disable mods for the game does it not happen. Then I go directly from the pilot's seat to the top gunner. So, where do I look for the orphaned bits? I looked inside the mods structure but cannot figure out what might be left over nor where in the game the 'leftovers' might be. I like the mod but find I am using it less and I don't want to pass through the navigators position on the way to a gunner especially when the enemy is on my six. Any help appreciated. 1
Stonehouse Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 (edited) Only a guess but I'd probably check for remnants in the luascripts folder. Most likely LuaScripts\WorldObjects\planes\turrets and the a20b_p2.txt file or the files in \LuaScripts\WorldObjects\bots - these being: All this stuff is usually part of scripts.gtp so when you turn off mods for the game it only looks in there. There is also an info.txt under swf\il2\worldobjects\planes\a20b which might have been left behind - I'd guess while not desirable it wouldn't allow you to enter the nav position with mods disabled in jsgme. I'd guess that the a20b_p2.txt is the likely culprit. Sounds like perhaps you closed JSGME part way through loading or unloading mods as that is the usual cause of such issues. Beebop Posted February 7, 2022 Author Posted February 7, 2022 Stonehouse; That was it! I removed "a20b_p2.txt" from 'LuaScripts\WorldObjects\planes\turrets' and now I can go directly from cockpit to top turret. 2 hours ago, Stonehouse said: Sounds like perhaps you closed JSGME part way through loading or unloading mods as that is the usual cause of such issues. I did that a long time ago and have since used the Navigator Mod successfully even after a couple of breakages by updates although I didn't have the problem of having to traverse through the navigators position until this update. Since that initial error I am been more patient in letting mods install/uninstall and with this exception all has gone well. A big THANK YOU for your sage counsel. 1
