Is it me or white/bright areas are flickering?

I noticed this week that the map screen seems to be flickering, like a strobe light, not quite on and off though, more like rapid changes in brightness. I then noticed it when looking at other bright areas, such as large clouds.

Anyone has or has had this issue and care to help?

I just changed from a RiftS to a Reverb G2 but this is the only game where I have the issue.

Haven't seen it, but with graphics issues, I'd first advise you to update your graphics drivers.

Not an issue for me, and none of the other BlitzPigs have mentioned it.

Are you by any chance playing with the G2 set to 60Hz (aka "fluorescent light simulation")?

That was exactly it. It's too bad though because i can't keep a steady 90fps. is there a way to limit to 60hz some other way??

I cant tell the difference between 60 and 90 fps as long as its constant, but if I go down from 90 to 60 in a dogfight i can definitely tell and feels like a slideshow. I need it to be constant, not fast to not notice.

I just wanted to mention that I got 60Hz working without the flickering. I'm not sure how but I could post my settings if anyone wants them.

What was I doing when it started working proper?

 I changed changed to 90hz

turned resolution on Steam VR to 100%

went flew a sortie (the game looked fine now)

changed aa to Off

restarted the game

flew another sortie

closed the game

changed back to 60 Hz

Opened the game and changed AA to 2X

Flew a sortie (the game looked good now)

changed to native resolution again in steam VR (around 50%)

I don't know if the above will work for anyone but maybe it will.

Glad you found something.

To my eyes 60Hz everywhere, even in the WMR Portal, flickers quite noticeably - it's not just in IL-2; no idea if it's down to my specific headset or my own sensitivity to such.
