Sledgearoo Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 I've messed up some of the default views for a few cockpits, primarily the default forward facing view. When I try and use the various 'Move pilot head' keys, the view jumps in the direction of the key I'm pressing (left, right, etc) whereas before it slid the view gradually. This means that, for example, using the key for 'move pilot head left' simply jumps the view so much to the left that it's almost outside of the aircraft. It's been so long since I set my views that I can't remember if there's something else I need to do or whether it's an issue of using a wireless keyboard, or something else. Any help much appreciated!
nozedyve Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 G'Day Jerry I had a similar issue with the default forward facing view in a couple of aircraft. I successfully reset the view using the instructions on p130 of the new Operators Manual. Worked a treat. Hope this helps.
Sledgearoo Posted February 7, 2022 Author Posted February 7, 2022 Yep, I've tried that but using any of the keys to move the views around just results in it jumping in any given direction rather than moving in increments. For some reason or other, there's no way for me to make the 'Move' commands for the keys do anything apart from 'jump' in this way, even if I delete the views file for any given plane.
Sledgearoo Posted February 7, 2022 Author Posted February 7, 2022 Fixed it - it's tied to the Movement Speed setting. If you've tweaked them it also effects the speed of any adjustments you want to make.
FlyingH Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 (edited) The default cockpit wiev can be rest by going into IL2..../data/luascriptsnapwievs and delete the xxx.svs file of the plane you´ve messed up. The game will recreate the default snapwiev on restart. Or you can pick the file you need from the default folder on the same page Edited February 7, 2022 by FlyingH
Sledgearoo Posted February 7, 2022 Author Posted February 7, 2022 Yep, like I said above, I tried that However, then changing the views' movement speeds fixed the problem of the views 'jumping' rather than moving in small increments. Maybe the manual needs to state that changing these speeds also has an effect on customising the view adjustments.
