dburne Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 (edited) Very interesting new offering from Virpil: https://forum.virpil.com/index.php?/topic/7057-introducing-the-vpc-ace-torq-rudder-pedals/ Includes a damper. No toe brakes - I am thinking maybe for choppers. Edited February 5, 2022 by dburne
cardboard_killer Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Price. Better features than the VKB pedals, at about the same price. 100USD)?) less than Crosswinds; 130USD(?) less than their own ACE pedals.
messsucher Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 VKB's 200 euro, Virbil's 250 euro. Looked like decent pedals. Toe brakes are not mandatory, you only use them on the ground, and many aircraft do not have toe brakes at all, which this sim has simulated good.
dburne Posted February 5, 2022 Author Posted February 5, 2022 I may pick these pedals up to use with choppers primarily, will see. I am still very happy with my Crosswind's with Damper Mod kit. I have a bit of a unique situation in my room where have a concrete floor and have to rig my space behind my Crosswind pedals to keep them from sliding - if I want to change out to racing setup it is a bit of a pain so I end up not racing as much. I like the idea of these pedals not sliding - plus they already have a damper which is a plus also. I only use the toe brakes on my Crosswinds for planes that use them. Which is not that many.

VKB's T-Rudder pedals are quite cheaper, in Europe at least, since the Virpil price does not include VAT. So depending on regional VAT it can be over 100 euros difference in price. I've been using the VKB one's for a good while now and have modded in them a damper of sorts in the form of a block of rubber against the cam arm, not sure if friction via clutch would be useful.
