Zooty Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 I upgraded to Windows 11 from Windows 10 and on launching the game there was a black screen. I was able to determine that turning off MSAA would resolve it. MSAA worked fine in Windows 10. I did a clean install of Windows 11 with the latest drivers and still turning on MSAA will cause the black screen on launch. All other settings seem to work fine. Also, the game is ignoring the windows and nvidia control panel refresh rate which I have set to 144hz. The game instead is trying to run at 180hz refresh rate. Though my monitor, Acer X35, does support 180hz, it will fall back to 8 bit at that refresh rate instead of the 10 bit at 144hz I want it to. Setting the rate limiter in the game to 144hz does nothing and it still tries to run at 180hz.
Tesarus Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 (edited) Similar: black screen with MSAA on, started to happen after upgrade to Windows 11. Current version of video drivers is GeForce 511.79 Edited March 16, 2022 by Tesarus
Velvet_Thunder Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Having the exact same issue. I have to play in fxaa 4x. With nvidia settings enhancing to 8x and supersampling. The game looks really great, no jagg / flicker. And honestly looks amazing. But I recently got the r13 with 3090 loaded up with max specs. And haven't been able to try out the msaa. Has anyone found a solution for this?
