Angry_Kitten Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 What is the structure behind how the key commands are created? IE what makes or determines the relationship of (key) + control/shift/alt/window key that is used? Is there a preferrence depending upon how often the command is used? Im just curious as some key board inputs make no sense... and others like how the game engine automatically split up the head camera controls between each of the buttons on my HOTAS throttle...
Jorge_S Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 (edited) I would guess most people do their own key binding; I would suggest you put as many key commands in the joystick and HOTAS; things like radiators, RPM, trims, flaps, primary weap, secondary weap, bombs, rockets, zoom in/ out then things that are used less frequently, or in the ground, like canopy, engine turn on, tailwheel locks, can get into the keyboard and having TrackIR, a good joystick, HOTAS, rudder pedals would definitively help also, when I started I only had an entry level joystick and I found that buying an inexpensive gamepad; something like "Razer Tartarus" can work as a HOTAS alternative The less keyboard you use, the better Edited February 8, 2022 by Jorge_S
