Pe 2 careere rocket ground attacking?

Hi folks,

 

Can maybe someone tell me if there's any Pe 2-unit in Moskau/Stalingrad/Kuban careere which uses its ROS-Rockets in groundattack missions?

 

So far I only got level bombing missions and would like to take the Peshka into a more "CAS role" and reading the unit histories in the careere selections didn't gave me a hint if they are used in this role in careere mode at all.

Yes, you should see the occasional rocket attack mission in the Moscow phase of career mode. Not a lot is known about exactly what sort of missions were flown by Pe-2s with rockets, so I think I've limited it to attacks on vehicle convoys.

Apparently Pe-3 were tried in a variety of roles during Battle of Moscow as well (including massed attacks strafing airfields, attacks on bomber formations etc.)

 

People often think of the later war as being more experimental - but 1941 seems to have had a lot of experimentation with new technology and tactics going on.
