Spaz-505 Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 In the mission editor, uncheck the plane enabled checkbox, the plane still shows up at mission start. Previous game versions, if the enabled checkbox was not checked, the plane would not show up at mission start. Unknown which update this stopped functioning.
No_85_Gramps Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 I haven't come across this yet. Working fine in a mission I am working on. Is the plane in question linked to anything?
Spaz-505 Posted February 4, 2022 Author Posted February 4, 2022 Yes, they linked to their own waypoints. Here are some additional details. - The aircraft are on ground, setup for cooperative start. I've tested "on runway" and "on parking", both are not functioning. I've verified in 2 different missions, same issue observed. I have worked with this in previous versions, the problem was not observed... I just dont know what version this problem first started.
Spaz-505 Posted February 4, 2022 Author Posted February 4, 2022 Attached is one of the missions I've observed this issue. Spaz LP Spitz Airfield Attack.rar
Spaz-505 Posted February 4, 2022 Author Posted February 4, 2022 I checked another one of my missions (3 missions I've tested), changed the cooperative start planes so they were not enabled, see the same issue. It does not affect AI only planes, appears to be isolated to those setup as cooperative start. Just completed another test, confirmed a cooperative start plane setup "in air" also shows up at mission start despite it not being "enabled" and not selecting that aircraft to fly at the cooperative multiplayer lobby during mission loading. I found this issue when trying to enable waypoint markers for a cooperative start plane, and not have all the cooperative start aircraft show up at mission start. I usually setup different planes to fly in a give mission, and some times like to have waypoint markers displayed. What I found regarding this, the plane must be "enabled" before mission start for the waypoint markers to be displayed... so it must be enabled in the mission editor. When I messed with this before, if I do not check "enabled" for that planes setup as cooperative start in the mission editor, select any plane at the cooperative multiplayer lobby during mission load, the waypoint markers do not show up during the mission.
JimTM Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 (edited) Are you certain that you were using the same scenario in previous game versions (i.e., coop planes with Enabled cleared)? My understanding is that any coop planes not selected by players are flown by AI (and presumably the Enabled checkbox is ignored). Edited February 4, 2022 by JimTM
Spaz-505 Posted February 4, 2022 Author Posted February 4, 2022 (edited) Yes, 100% certain. Previously I was doing some tests with enabling and not enabling cooperative start planes to see what impact that had on displaying waypoint markers for each aircraft. If I didn't enable them, those not selected to fly would not show up when the game started. An example in the mission I provided, with the planes enabled, they all show up as positioned in the mission editor. If not enabled, they would not show up, only the one/ones selected at the Cooperative Multiplayer Lobby. ** New Edit ** I setup multiple aircraft so there are choices what to fly. A lot of my missions have multi-roles, so have a choice what plane and what part of the mission you want to fly. Some of my missions utilize AI's to fly along, and some missions are created for only players to fly... either single or multi. If single, then I use logic to limit the enemy force so that its not overwhelming. Edited February 4, 2022 by 332FG-Spaz Incorrect editing 1
jollyjack Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 Well i don't know much about coop etc, and there's no activate set as you load it with the spit as player; other planes don't show. Sorry, cannot help you there .. 1
