Driver56 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Hello pilots! recently I stopped by a wonderful website (http://historicpropellers.com) and figured out that they also make metal rudders from WW2 fighter aircraft (got a photo attached). Does anyone has an experience with them? Attached are some photos so that you can also take a look. Maybe something you all would like to have in your office/living room? See you in the sky!
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Yep, that's definetly a Fokker aircraft rudder (possibly Dr.I). Interesting stuff though.
Driver56 Posted July 15, 2014 Author Posted July 15, 2014 If you go to their website and click on constructions, you will see also rudders from BF-109 and FW-190 http://historicpropellers.com/constructions.php
DD_Arthur Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 The man behind this is a really nice Czech guy called Vasek from the RoF forums. His work is absolutely superb. On going thread here; http://riseofflight.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=31992
AB1Vasek Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I just by lucky chance found this topic Thank you for the nice comments. However, I am not sure if I could be considered a "nice guy" ? :-) Maybe I will try the this new flight simulator now Compared to RoF (WW1), the combats are much faster, aren't they? I'm not sure if I would be able to handle that, I am used to the old and slow biplanes Cheers!!!
SYN_Bandy Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Hey Vasek, I'm sure you can adapt to BoS. It's a fabulous sim with lots of action, a nice change from RoF, and only makes going back to the sticks and canvas that much more sweet! Just be ready to get shot down a lot, all over again...
SYN_Bandy Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 (edited) Off the Camel being restored at Duxford, the one flown off a lighter to intercept a zeppelin (can't remember the chap's name, think he won a VC tho...) Edited September 13, 2014 by SYN_Bandy
