Could the 2 free tanks in the Great Battles (T 34 STZ 1942 and Panzer III Ausf L) be upgraded to the same level as the Tank Crew AFV?

Would there be any point in doing this?

I think they're very similar to the existing T34 and Pz. III variants in game, so I'm not sure there would be as much point doing that as modelling entirely new vehicles.

It would take time and money to do this. What exactly do you need? They are free and you can not wish things others have payed for.

i believe the outsides look the same, the interior is technically the difference?

I live the free tanks in either external F4 view, or through the gun sight.

What we really need is to be able to drive the russian armored car with turret on top, looks like a mini sherman. had fun blowing some up last night

I agree... but I also have to say that I'd have bought Tank Crew a lot earlier if these free vehicles (originally used to test the idea) were higher quality.

Systems modelling is also a lot simpler.

The Panzer III should be almost the same (the L version didn't have the distance armor at the turret and hull front), but the T-34 has a completely different turret, for which the interior would have to be modelled.

But in theory for a FREE tank, does one even NEED an interior for the player?  you can see what i mean by playing your favorite tank n F4 camera mode, and using keyboard commands to change position but stay in F4..

Ive been doing time in the free tanks like that, i leave it in gunner so i just hit f1 and stare down the sight. Never gone into the driver spot after start up and im fine running the tank in whatever gear it starts out in at speeds hitting 45km per hour.

Has anyone suggested Italian AFVs as collectable vehicles for Tank Crew?

Not in the year and a half I've been here.

I'll tell you what nobody will want - the Bob Semple. Made in New Zealand out of fear of a possible Japanese invasion without international forces to save them, the New Zealand Ministry of Works decided to build a tank basically combining corrugated iron, a tractor base, and machine guns without using formal plans and blueprints. Despite meeting public ridicule, Bob Semple said - "I don't see anyone else coming up with any better ideas."

Why? All you're doing with them is firing them off into the distance at some unseen target.

Not to forget, if it is modelled realistically, you will fire your rockets and then you will have to wait for quite some time until they are reloaded. IRL this needed far more time for reloading than it is modelled in game. Fire, get your ass out of there ASAP, travel to a new firing position, reload for about a quarter of an hour and then you can have your fun again for how long,...ten seconds?

S! All,
If we could get a new version of Tank Crew 2...
What would be the tanks that you would like to see...

Remember, no tanks are bad suggestion...
Just remember to keep the years between 1939 to 1945 (including the late war models).

---

Here are some suggestions related to Tank battles that took place in WW2
* many more tanks took place in each of those battles

Hannut, 1940 - around 1 000 tanks engaged at Hannut (Belgium valleys)

Gazala, 1942 - joint German-Italian against the British near Gazala (North Africa)
- Cruiser tank MK VI Crusader (British) & Valentine MK. III   vs  - Carro Armato Medio M13 (Italian)

Kasserine, 1943 - Afrika Korps throws its last fires against the US (Tunisia - North Africa)
- Panzer III Ausf. N & Panzer IV AusF.G (Germany)   vs  - M4 Sherman (US) *Daimler Dingo 4x4 two-seater (for recons)

Prokhorovka, 1943 - Operation Citadel - a tank battle that took place near Kursk  (Prokhorovka)

- Panthers & Tigers  (Germany)   vs  - T-34/76 & Churchill Mk. VII (Russian)

M10! Over 6000 were produced and it participated in Overlord.

M18 as well. Both American made and operated by the British as well.

Both were also provided to the USSR but in very small numbers.

As were the Shermans and Churchills : a very small % of the total production  .... but a 100%  East Front Redstar  in Game ?

it would be cool, but it seems to me that the first Comets only arrived at the end of 44 (after market garden) and that very few people really saw the fights

I would love this operation: in terms of gameplay (if there are improvements to TC...), it would be very different... you can see far, few objects that allow you to hide, use of smoke/ dust... we would also have a more "balanced" base rosster (for the same reason, end-of-war scenarios would be nice too...) ... moreover, the game engine would perhaps be more competent to reproduce this type of terrain, there would be fewer problems related to engine limitations.. .

Mmmh, given the damage model of AA in the game and HE shells, it would be a bit of a nonsense festival...

but we are talking about sequel/TC2... has anyone had any news? the devs were supposed to meet the partners several months ago, does anyone know what was said, or are we still going crazy?

(Ooh, and does anyone know if we'll have smoke canisters for Pz IV?)

No, unfortunatly no news about an sequel.

Of course I hope that I am not getting insane because of my longing.... Had only a wet dream that night, which I wrote down immediately after getting up. ?

Guys stop titillating yourselves with dreams of late war tanks and a sequel to TC. It just won't happen. There are mores chance that Henry Cavill returns as Superman than any of us seeing a sequel to TC.
