A possible visual mod? Change bomb load out to look like drop tanks?

This is a simple question as to whether visual 3D models can be changed? 

So a P-47 carrying wing bombs, even though they would still be bombs, could they be modified to look like drop tanks (as we don't have drop tanks)?

Why not?  It should be easier than the Torpedo Mod (it doesn't have to travel under water) and the only possible downside is they would blow up like a bomb but I bet in real life some of them would have exploded, just not as violently.

It's just eye candy and like Mysticpuma said it would be a boon to video makers.
