Alt F4 - exit

Alt F4 for exit game, is there a way to switch that off when the game is running?

No. This is an OS (Windows) related shortcut, it has nothing to do with IL2.

 

Just don't press Alt-F4 and you'll be fine

I'm curious to know why, is someone closing the game on you while you're in VR or something? ?

 

You could try getting some software (similar to Joy2Key) that allows you to reassign keyboard buttons.

Actually, pressing Alt-F4 in game will give you 200 octane fuel!

I was told that boosting was Ctrl+E. Did the default bindings change?

This reminded me when I was using Voice Attack and having it always on, with no key assigned to activate it. My wife used to came in to my room yelling eject, eject, eject usually at the end of the long mission ???

I have a cat that used to press my power switch if I ignored him.  I now have a bottle lid taped over the button that has to be lifted to use it ?

Nope, it was easier to asign the button on my HOTAS ?
