Windows 10 with 4K monitor, wants to play in QHD 2560 x 1440, how to achieve this?

Let it be quick and focused

- yes, I have searched this forum for keyword "4K" with no hits

- Windows 10

- 4K flat screen 3840 × 2160

- RTX 2070Super

- yes, my steam overlay is off, otherwise game goes totally nuts

My problems

- should I set any compatibility settings on game executable?

- should I use FullScreen or PseudoFullScreen in game video settings?

- game changes resolution itself to match Windows resolution, what only currently helps is to lower Windows resolution before running up the game to match QHD

- in-flight top left window + engine information is too SMALL, font size is fine but letters doesn't fit inside - attached picture is better than thousand words ?

Please help me to enjoy this great game!

It worked! Thanx a lot, I had to close those windows and create new ones.

For your information only, dear Floydie, one or two years ago I ended up by stopping the use of info windows in my "Cliffs of Dover" install. The only info window I still use is one which data are not visible if I don't want they are: the list of online connected players (key is "S" by default). This is the closest way of playing the game in what it is usually called "full realism".

Since patch 5.027 there is a new option to toggle all ingame info windows on/off (Options, Control, Chat).

Yes I noticed that, but wasn't sure about its purpose. I'll give it a chance, thank you Mikmak.

I am using Pseudo Fullscreen. I can change my resolution independently from my desktop. Make sure you got SteamCloud for the game disabled so it doesn‘t overwrite your conf.ini file under Documents/1C SoftClub/Cliffs of Dover (where the configs are stores, like resolution).

Also in case you had legacy CloD (non-Blitz) installed, make sure its 1C SoftClub/Cliffs of Dover has been deleted. You should only have one instance of this folder (for Blitz). Otherwise the game tends to mix .ini files up and weird things can happen.

I have also set my .exe compatibility to Win7 because I was having crashes when using 144Hz refresh rate. May be worth a try on your end too in case you can‘t get it working in 2k with the above.
