How many people would be interested in flying the Ju 52 in this game?

First of all, this is just a fan-based poll and is of no means a question by TFS.

 

Secondly, there was a statement by Buzzsaw that the Ju 52 will not be included in the near future because very few people would fly it (even if they do Tunisia in TF 6.0 or TF 7.0) as only 14 out of 26 people in a Poll back in 2018 said they would want to fly it. However, that was back in 2018; it's 2022 now ?

 

So, let's get 2022 results instead of 2018 results on this question: how many people would be interested in flying the Ju 52 in this game?

I voted "yes" to be honest only because I'm sure I'd love to fly old Aunt Ju in this game. But now, please, read the following:

 

The Ju-52 fleet was not actually involved in combat situations where the aircraft regularly encountered enemy fighters with the exception of four occasions:

 

-  The invasion of the Netherlands.  (we won't be doing this scenario in near future)

 

-   The attempted Air-Supply of Stalingrad.  (this is already covered in the GREAT BATTLES series.

 

-  The Campaign for Tunisia where the aircraft was used first fly in Ground troops to hold up the Allied advance, and later to fly in supply or evacuate troops just before the surrender.  (will not be the subject of TF 6.0)

 

-  The air supply of the Kurland pocket and later evacuation of ground troops when the pocket collapsed.  (Eastern Front and GREAT BATTLES territory)

 

For reasons which are self-explanatory from above, as well as the fact very few people would be interested in flying this aircraft, (we only do flyable types) we are unlikely to model the Ju-52 in the near future.

Yes I did read that before starting this poll but the "as well as the fact very few people would be interested in flying this aircraft" part made me believe that this notion comes from a poll back in 2018 in which less than 30 people voted (and 53% said they would buy it), so not very accurate results to base a notion today that very few people would want to fly the Ju-52 in CloD.

I'm doing this poll so that the notion that very few people would be interested in flying the Ju-52 is based on something current and not four years old. The results show that this notion is most likely still valid but I just wanted to be sure.

Only interested if a few conditions are met:

 

1) The aircraft is implemented in a way that it fulfills an actual role rather than being a pure sightseeing plane. This role could be transportation of troops and supplies, airdropping of paratroopers, etc.

2) There should be a comparable counterpart for the allied side (C-47).

Thank you for your responses, Enceladus and Karaya, but, again, we are stepping into Great Battles territory, as Buzzsaw said.

 

At any rate, I'm for a flyable Ju 52 in the Dover series, I'm for it at 100%. But I'm not the boss, that's all. Polls, speculations, theoretical debates, everybody here expressing his will... all of this is fantastic, sure it is, but in the end, what really counts is one fact only: the decision makers will make their decisions whatever we've said before.

 Would fly it if it had a purpose like stated above. Still other planes would take most of the time spent flying.
