Tactical codes

Hello everyone!

 

 

This has probably been asked before, but will PWCG ever be able to administer tactical codes? I can see that each aircraft has its own code in the generator itself, but they do not translate into the actual mission, where each plane is simply blank. I would just like to know because it would be such a step forward in terms of realism if they were displayed in the mission itself.

Blank as in having no tactical codes applied.

It's already there but only for the aircraft that currently support it. ie Mustangs, Typhoon, SpitXIV and possibly some I've forgotten.

 

I believe Patrick only switches it on in PWCG though where there is a stock generic skin that fits the squadron in question. So for example I asked about getting the 352nd FG set up to use tactical codes as part of PWCG but due to there not being a generic stock blue nose skin for the P51 Patrick wasn't keen to do so as it added a dependency on a community skin - which is a quite understandable point of view. ie It forced people to find and download that skin and that was undesirable.

He did recently add the Typhoon though as there was a stock generic RAF skin that could be used.

Oh, so are you saying that on the Typhoon tactical codes show up in game? I’m flying a Typhoon career in PWCG and they don’t show up.

Yes they got added in version 13.6.0. Are you using that version or later? Are you using 193 squadron?

Ah, I’m playing with 184 squadron. Also, I do in fact have the latest version, 13.7.0.
