Madov Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 (edited) Hello This topic may indeed have been covered elsewhere but I did search and found nothing. In the Soviet aircraft all the instruments and dials seem to be in Cryllic except the magnetic compass which uses the letters N S E W for the cardinal direction indicators. Were magnetic compasses imported at this time perhaps? I notice that in the Luftwaffe aircraft there are magnetic compasses marked as per the German language and I am curious as to why the compass should be marked in English inside the VVS planes. Thanks for any assistance proffered Euan Edited July 14, 2014 by MADOV
