? Skins for Non-Player Aircraft

I'm new to the Forum, and IL-2. I've downloaded additional skins for my own aircraft (the superb Hakuten!). Do other non-player-controlled aircraft ever use any of these available unit appropriate skins?

Only if you assign them in the Mission Editor. In other words, only if you create your own missions or download some pre-made missions or campaigns. Never in the career or with (advanced) quick missions.

Have you looked at HSD (Haluters Skin Downloader). Pretty much every skin and unit skins that are available are gettable on there.

Just hover over my signature to get it if you haven't already (GOT it that is, not 'rolled over my signature'!).

I do have it and am using it. 

 

I do see that inside Pat Wilson's campaign generator I can assign skins to my flight mates. 

 

What I was wondering was, e.g., if I download a bunch of Camel skins for AI-controlled UK squadrons, will any of those skins be used by the AI?

Within PWCG, yes. The vanilla career mode does not currently make use of custom skins like RoF did, and scripted campaigns/single missions will only use them if they were designed to.
