Cybermat47 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Can't say I really care about soccer, but still, congrats!
sallee Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I was wondering what that misshapen monstrosity was for a moment! Well done (if it makes you happy) from someone who hasn't seen even a minute of coverage!
1./JG42Nephris Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I surely got 1/3 more grey hairs after the match.
Gort Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 WHOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Not so loud, the Germans are hung over this morning... "Deutschland ist Weltmeister!"
FlatSpinMan Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Really glad Germany won. Didn't see much of the coverage (not particularly into soccer) but I did enjoy watching the German team demolish a couple of teams along the way. Even an untrained eye like mine could see they were playing well. Sorry for any Spaniards or Brazilians on these forums, but I thought Germany's wins over those teams were absolutely hilarious. Talk about "bursting bubbles" and "raining on parades". They could not have been more emphatic.
Black-Hussar Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 This morning? The "Weltmeister" will be back home tomorrow and about 500.000 are expected to cheer them in Berlin... party on
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Glad with the outcome of the match (hell which german isn't?) and though I'm not much into soccer it was quite exiting to watch such equal teams truely fighting for the final goal. It was very brutal however and I've not seen so many fouls in any game so far, it was a truely bitter and desperate fight from both sides. Anyway Wir sind Weltmeister!
MiloMorai Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Four yellow cards (2 each) is not many with Germany with 20 fouls and Argentina with 16 fouls. You missed the Brazil/Columbia and Brazil/Chile games where there were 51 fouls in each game.
kendo Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Congratulations Germany!! And a wonderful goal to win a World Cup final. I really did NOT want to see Argentina win on penalties (again!)
J2_Trupobaw Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 . Sorry for any Spaniards or Brazilians on these forums, but I thought Germany's wins over those teams were absolutely hilarious. Talk about "bursting bubbles" and "raining on parades". They could not have been more emphatic. How about "Schadenfreude mit Eichenlaub, Schwertern und Brillanten " to describe this feeling?
1./JG42Nephris Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Ashame Arjen didnt get the best player award. Still cant understand the reason why Messi was awarded. Just had a look today for the updated trikots with the 4th star on it .... 120€ -150€. The 3 star version flies off the window by 40€. Default price before the final was 70€. I asked the girl at addidas shop today, when new ones would arrive with 4 stars, which then would drop the price, and she answered me 3 weeks probably. But they got a textil pen, with which I could paint the 4th star on the cheaper 3 star trikots, if I d be eager .... wtf. Vendor from hell.
Black-Hussar Posted July 15, 2014 Author Posted July 15, 2014 Time to appoint Finkeren to the executive board of adidas...... It's not like it could have gone any other way. Well, can't wait for the "Siegerflieger".... love that name! 1
Finkeren Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I'm surprised that Hitler never nicknamed one of his many pet projects late in the war the 'Siegerflieger'.
sallee Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I was trying to post the Private Eye front cover of the England team getting of their plane in Brazil with the pilot saying, "shall I keep the engines running?" but for some reason it wouldn't let me.

MiloMorai Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Why does Khedira have his hand reaching up Özil's inner leg?
Cybermat47 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Why does Khedira have his hand reaching up Özil's inner leg? Bromance
