Help with hosting servers

I've been trying to host a server in IL-2 but I can't seem to get it to work. I can list the server and I can join and drive around in it, but when someone else tries to join, they freeze in the menu screen (not even the cutscene-loading screen or "downloading" message).

Does anyone know what could be causing this issue?

That sounds like a port forwarding issue.

Have a read through the first three items here;

Multiplayer hosting works really well in IL2 once you’ve got over the port forwarding issue.

Good luck!?

You might check if you also present the mission file binary, *.msnbin extention or the *.list was generated in the final destination folder.
But try your luck rather in the "Multiplayer Servers and Hosting" sub-forum.

That sounds like the same issue I was getting at one point until enlisted some help and now have it working. I'm talking about a DServer and I ran the server on one computer on my network and the game was on another.

As you're in the network you can join, but people from outside the network come in via a global adress to the network and the relevant ports need to forwarded on your router, that applies to either a server from the game or alternately running a DServer

The 2 posts above are really good starter points, if it's a DServer then this might help as well
