352ndOscar Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 I sure hope there are runways long enough to get these bombers off the ground! The ones we have now are just barely enough for the fighters and light bombers we have. 1 2
JG5_Schuck Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Love the new runway surfaces, Will the handling also reflect the different surfaces in different seasons.... skidding in the winter/wet etc? And in a similar vain, can handling be altered for grass, and also for off line. There is still the ability to take off from a plowed field covered in snow in a fully laden plane!! I remember a time when putting one wheel in the snow meant you were stuck......!!! Maybe somewhere down the middle would be nice, as it is the ground handling is far to good for bumpy or snow covered ground. 1 1

She seems so true to life to me performance wise, that I'd be less than happy if it changed. Less. Than. Happy. 76IAP-Black Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Will there be a difference in the audio when taxiing or taking of from different material? Conrete sounds different with the little spaced inbetween than a solid gravel airstrip

Even outside, the roar of engines would seem to be so loud as to drowned that out. 3

Plus eleventybillion. Totally with you here. The only performance area that is odd on the Mustangs is the discrepancy in the supercharger gear change between the B and D even though they share the same -7 engine. 1
Missionbug Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 The Gotha is a beauty, those large bombers as well as the seaplanes were for me the stars of the old R.O.F, hopefully they will all eventually find their way here into the new iteration of that genre. The runways give a little more variety to the scenery, nice, also glad to see the vehicle objects increasing with the new truck and its Bofors. Thank you very much for the update, really appreciated. Take care and be safe. Wishing you all the very best, Pete.
migmadmarine Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 When it comes to sound from takeoff/taxiing the one I think is most lacking is for the Marston matting, I imagine that must make a racket when aircraft/vehicles are rolling across them.

AI crashes into trees way too often. 2
sevenless Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Quote Alex has built a new Spit XIV Scripted Campaign for the Rhineland map called His Majesty's Griffons. It will be free to all who own both BOBP and BON and will be in the next update. This is fantastic news! 1
ScotsmanFlyingscotsman Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Thank you for the update, so much subtle information, further twins coming....yay. However, I have a stupid question, In the military we were told there are no stupid questions.....hmm. Anyway, if the new Flak vehicle is a Morris, british wagon, was the white star adopted allied wide after D-Day, like stripes on planes, stars on cars? Probably about as successful as our white crosses in Rhodesia, which always seemed to be over the Fuel tanks on the Land Rovers, or the Oxygen on the Hercs.....
percydanvers Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Excellent news! I've been looking forward to HM Griffons since I bought the Osprey book about the Griffon Spits. That will be fun

Without complaining too much, as a primarily Axis pilot, the Tempest is a beast at every level typically flown online. 3

Probably about as successful as our white crosses in Rhodesia, which always seemed to be over the Fuel tanks on the Land Rovers, or the Oxygen on the Hercs..... The star marking had appeared originally on all allied aircraft used by the allies in North Africa for the Torch operations and it seems to have later been extensively used on vehicles for D-Day and beyond as the primary recognition symbol for all allied vehicles in that instance irrespective of what nationality of the ground units through Europe to Berlin. Hope that helps. Take care and be safe. Wishing you all the very best, Pete. Edited January 22, 2022 by Missionbug 1
ZachariasX Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Great news!! And can‘t wait for the Gotha…
CUJO_1970 Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Great news about the props. Two of the bigger issues in the sim regarding prop pitch, which will hopefully be addressed: 1. Prop abuse, running fine pitch and lowering pitch back and forth with impunity at full boost like you can do with certain aircraft - which will damage (ruin) the engine if done in real life. Hopefully this abuse will now be rewarded as it would be historically with a blown engine. 2. Prop pitch changes in FW190D-9 - it takes more than 8 seconds what should take about 2-2.5 seconds to automatically adjust pitch in MBG engine control. Similar situation seems to take place with Antons as well controlled by KG. It's taking much longer than it did in the sim as in real life to get the prop pitch adjusted. Also why the D-9 accelerates like a school bus full of fat kids in this sim. 3 4

Tell that to the C-54 crew carrying the dive flap kits for the P-38s when they were shot down by the RAF over the Atlantic. How many more bomber crews were lost due to that little mistake? All those trigger happy Americans, dragged into WWII. They sure were the problem. 1

I remember those massed formation flights with FourSpeed & the New Wings crew on Tuesday nights. I was going to brag about how awesome we all were at flying them, but then you had to go post this video... ?? Really very excited to see this giant come to FC! And while I’m not a single player guy, I’m stoked that Jason teased that a career mode will be in the works once the new map is done. Cool stuff! ? I know the team is very busy and I appreciate the hard work you all are doing around the clock. When you have time, would you mind looking into the wing shedding issues plaguing most FC aircraft as well as the pilots dying way too easily in gentle noseovers? Flying Circus is getting better and better as days go by (more modules, campaigns, new collector planes, super-immersive cloud & weather tech, realistic control rod breakage now modeled, career eventually coming, just to name a few). I love the direction things are going! Fixing the wing shedding (like you did with the Halberstadt- thanks so much for that!) and aggressive pilot shock wounding model would make the entire FC experience even better yet. Flying each of these lovely planes would be so much better if I wasn’t worried I’d lose a wing after taking a few bullets in combat or dying if I accidentally bounce on landing. ?♂️ Again, thank you so much for all you do! It doesn’t have to be right away that these things get addressed; I just wanted to keep these issues on the radar. 5

enyak Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 I would very much like to see stronger propeller torque felt through all flight regimes, I would welcome the additional challenge.
jollyjack Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 Just a stupid question (again): what are the 2 buckets for at the front of this new gun-truck? It has no windows to clean, sorry George Formby .. 1
