Mustang gun-camera video effect test using BoX and Adobe Premiere

Short video, capturing a few hits from the Mustang. Gave it a go to try and replicate the gun camera look.

One thing I did notice was the great effect of the aircraft wing slowly failing and breaking off. Just amazing! Would love to see more features like that, for example hydraulic failure leading to undercarriage slowly lowering :(

Anyway, here's the short video:

Thanks Hoots. There are about 5 different techniques in the video, so feedback on favourite parts is very useful. Cheers, Mysticpuma

Would be an interesting feature, (official or mod).

Maybe with 4/3 aspect ratio and the oblique indicator in the top-left corner of the picture :

Hi, I have taken onboard your comments and put together just two clips that last for 24 seconds.

Aspect ratio 4:3, gun firing indicator in the corner :)

Nice. I love the B/W tones. I can’t get mine to look that good. I like the starker image in yours.

I hate to sound critical but the speed seems a tad slow. I know guncams could be set at different frame rates that reflect a slower replay but this seems more like slow motion replay. Just my opinion. Great scenes you captured.

That's, I won't bother again!!! ????

No that's fine, I get what you mean. I did take on board a previous comment of trying for 16fps but it was very juttery and detracted from the imagery.

This is created to mimic some footage which does give slow motion effects, obvious set at a higher frame rate capture.

Like I say I am still playing around with it, currently just putting a small project together then I will return to guncm again.

I have a great capture ready to work on ?

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it.

Very nice.

I tried something similar in DCS, but the main problem there is that the mission recording thing doesn't work in DCS so you can't gey good video to work with.
