obviously done something wrong here, all used to run ok but in the normal hunt for extra fps i have messed with something, problem is, in game fps shows like 60-37 ish, which is fine you say, but the problem is either thats lying or something is going on, say you do f3 flypast, fps is the same but its like the game is in slow mode, same in cockpit? i did change the (forgotten the name as not near pc for game) the slider to control how much it will try n keep to set fps, i dropped it lower, needs to be on full? i just find it weird its showing a healthy fps but is running slower?

thanks guys :)

Are you testing this in an empty map in the QMB or during a dense single player scenario with a lot of AI?

Frame rates can remain high but the simulation rate can drop if the mission is heavy with AI assets and your CPU is unable to fully keep up. Rather than crashing, the sim just slows down. Recording a track file at the same time exacerbates the issue.

If playing single player Career mode then you can reduce the density which will enable a smoother experience.

Had the same thing happen in one of my single player campaigns (Just the one, all the others were fine, if with a slightly lower frame rate than before the last update/patch).  I reported the issue already in the technical issues forum, but please add your files, as in the end, I just had to skip the mission, as it was unplayable.

This happened to me earlier this week in a Spit XIV career mission. I didn't think to record the track file. 60fps, but the sim speed was an slideshow. I skipped the mission and all since have been totally fine.
