kendo Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 I noticed it too. More subtle lighting has improved cockpit interiors too.
Picchio Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 I don't know. Tonal range and especially white balance are still messed up.
Feathered_IV Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Not sure either. I was just looking at a tank in externals and the surrounding grass is bleached right out while the tank just seems to absorb all light. I think its been like that for as long as I can remember.
Voidhunger Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Yes the lighting was improved and it looks very nice!
354thFG_Drewm3i-VR Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Lighting is generally improved yes, but the huge sun that you can't block as easily as before is driving me nuts in vr.

The lighting is the same a before but the clouds take it in a bit better. Possibly some shader adjustments have tuned up the way the light reflects. The moon looks enormous in VR as well
Gambit21 Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 I was going to remark on this, mainly with regard to the clouds. The global illumination seems to have taken a nice step forwards. The lighting on the clouds seems much improved at any rate...I haven't been in the cockpit to notice a difference there. 2
