As anyone who is familiar with or flys vintage aircraft knows, there are different types of speed used in aviation ... Question @ Team Fusion (TF): What is your understanding of <speed>? Do you mean - the airspeed shown on the flight-deck instrument? - true airspeed (TAS), the speed of the aircraft relative to the air mass through which it is flying? - ground speed (GS), the vector sum of True Airspeed (TAS) and wind velocity? Thanks in advance ~V~ The speeds are those which are listed in the Mission Builder... which are IAS. The recommendations are general... we don't have a detailed list of aircraft and recommended speeds... of course, different types cruised at different speeds. The issue is in Singleplayer many players found it hard to keep up with the AI aircraft the default 300 kmh speed which the Builder assigns... especially in climbs. The recommended speeds and altitude change/time recommendations are to avoid that issue. Eventually we will put together a detailed list of aircraft with recommended speeds based on historical climb/cruise settings. But that will need to wait. If someone in the community wants to research the matter, and to put together detailed lists of what the historical cruise speeds as well as the default climb times/speeds, then they should feel free... but of course, TF will check those to make sure they are accurate.

Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted January 27, 2022 Team Fusion Posted January 27, 2022 The speed shown in 'no cockpit' mode is True Airspeed at sea level. Any altitude over sea level, it is IAS.
