Can we have an option to save missions created in the AQMG please?

Today I have had a great time chasing and strafing trains.....however my aircraft resplendent in it's Checkertail markings is surrounded by aircraft all in generic markings.

Could we have an option to save a mission created in the AQMG so that it can then be opened in the Full mission builder and the aircraft can then have the players choice of skins added to the aircraft? This is possible in SYN_Vanders Easy Mission Generator , but currenty AQMG missions are created and played but there is no option to save them.

Please can we have a save option....or maybe a way to skin individual aircarft?

Cheers, MP

In the data/mission folder you will see a list of files that have "_gen" as the prefix. This is the last QMB/AQMG mission you ran. You can load it into the FME and change it to your hearts content. Then using save-as, give it a name of your own and it won't disappear from your mission list the next time you run a new mission.

And set it to Single in mission type with the ME,or with Notepad in the mission file, otherwise it won't load as mission in the game ....

Thank you both, this is really useful to know.

If I may (and to save starting a new thread.

I would like to place some items on and around an airfield to strafe and blow up/shoot up and set fire to.

Having only got experience of CloD (which is so similar to 1946 it was a doddle), how easy is it to locate items and then place them on the airfield? Secondly are moving trucks, vehicles easy to place on and around the airfield too?

Thanks in advance.

A lot of that is possible, but i have no experience with 1946 or Clod.

The hard part is with IL2 GB that you cannot activate too much without switching them on and off with Check Zones or Proximity MCUs controlled by players position.

Other wise the game will slow down and stagger. Probably due the much higher CPU/GPU use. Nice scenery comes at a price.

Analyzing the clever programming by the AQMB or QMB is hard as the action MCUs are usually not grouped.

Quite a few mission makers are very good at that too, and wtith some easier to see what's up due grouping.

Syn_Vander's mission maker's output is also easier to modify BTW

Hi and thanks to both of you for your feedback. I did open the gen mission in FME, however it doesn't appear that once the mission is generated, the skins can be changed on the aircraft? The only option available appears to be default (I have a lot Pf P47-D22 skins available) :(

It's the way these files are generated, I think no skin is selected at all, leaving it blank, that causes this issue.

Here is how to solve:

-In the left of your screenshot you see the plane properties menu.

-Click on 'Model' and select the p47d22 again in the list.

-Click Okay. The skin properties will now have reset and you can pick your skin.

Warning: This will also reset your payload.
