Does anyone else have problems since the last update 4.702c? The trees look awful in the winter landscape, at least when playing with the WMR / Reverb G1. I’ve been staying on summer maps for a couple of weeks, but yesterday I noticed how pixelated the trees are in the winter landscape. The problem is much less noticeable on the summer map. I can try to take screenshots tomorrow.

The trees always looked awful in VR, even with Reverb G1 (I can confirm it because I own that headset). Maybe you started flying closer to the trees, so you're only noticing it recently ? And I agree that the pixelation is especially noticeable against the white background, but it is the same trees on every map. Yet despite that I still prefer the snow maps because it is much easier to render uniform snow coverage, as opposed to all the details and nuances of the vegetation. Also you can spot the enemies much easier against the white background.

I have noticed this, particularly since the last update. My squad mates said the same thing.

Yeah those flickering outlines :O
noAA or Blur Helps.. well bumping the res does help a bit
but low fps in VR are.. well.. not n as bearable as in flat..

But let´s not forget since 2014, nearly every aspect of this Game got updated, except some stuff like the SpeechFX and yes,
the Trees.
That´s why they look like out of 2014,
because they are.

Also have this issue and thought it was something i had done to settings.

Same for me following the last few updates, the trees at a certain distance have a pixelated look to them, very distracting especially on the Moscow map where I have a Hurricane career on the go.

Never use VR, just playing on a monitor, I wear glasses but it never looked this bad before.

I always re-save all missions and campaigns and my settings have been consistent for years so not sure why this recently.

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

I noticed it too! I thought it was my VR settings, They look fine up to a certain (close) distance and then they just look like a dot matrix.

AFAIK the dot matrix rendering of distant transparent objects (not just trees and folliage but camo nets and fences use this exact system of LOD reduction) have always looked like this both in VR and screen to the extent that I've stopped paying attention to it.

Yes, I have especially noticed lately that the tops of the trees when flying below 200 meters look more pixelated in VR since the most recent update.

I noticed last Saturday night a winter map where all the trees looked pixelated, almost like 8-bit graphics, as if some of the textures were missing. Using VP2.

I get what you are saying. But the matrix seems waay much less dense than usual, or maybe It became more noticeable because I hadn't flown a winter map in a while.

Ok, nice to hear I'm not the only one with this issue. Nvidia drivers are not related to this. I have tried 5xx. version and currently has 497.29 in use. Hope the devs are aware and the fix is on its way
