No in game sound

Anyone know why I don't hear sound in the game? Sound works in every other program and I adjusted the sound mixer etc, but still no in game sound. In fact, the system volume mixer drops to zero, even though I set the Sound Communications setting in the control panel to "do nothing", but still no sound in game. The 'in game' sound slider is at 20%.

[Correction - Had the same problem...looks like a reboot fixed it. *shrug*]
