atyour6 Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 I was hoping some of you guys that can run your graphic settings maxed out would share your hardware info. (NOT VR) Really want to know the minimum that can still pull this off. My gamer PC was hot 3 years ago but aging as I have had to tone down some of the settings (especially with the last update which is 4.702 ) in order keep things liquid smooth. Thanks!
Wilhelm_Heidkamp Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Liquid smooth here with all maxed at 4K. MSAA x8 included. AMD 5800X with 64GB RAM 3600GHz. Nvidia RTX 3080 10GB. EVGA FTW3 Ultra. 2TB SSD M.2 Aorus.
atyour6 Posted January 12, 2022 Author Posted January 12, 2022 Thank you for replying! Gives me a good benchmark. Man ... stand alone vid cards $ is crazy May wait and just live with what is still relatively awesome.

You need to specify the resolution that you will use (1080p, 1440p, 4K, others...) and also the frequency of your monitor (typically 60Hz).

Wilhelm_Heidkamp Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 2560*1440 is not 4K. 3840*2160, for example, is 4K.

And your goal is to keep 60fps always (or at least 99.9% of the time). In CPU terms, a Ryzen 5600X or an Intel i5-12600K will easily will give you more than 120fps with all settings maxed out and for any resolution (1080p, 1440p, or 4K), assuming that the GPU is not bottlenecked. Probably other older CPUs will be valid as well, like any i5/i7/i9 from 8th-9th-10th-11th gen of Intel. On GPU terms, a RTX 3060 will be more than enough for your resolution with all maxed out and MSAAX4 (and perhaps x8). In fact, any previous NVIDIA card with a passmark score above 15000 will be sufficient for your goal: https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html Don´t go to AMD cards, they still have some issues with IL-2 (but perhaps for your resolution it doesn´t matter) Just curiosity, what are your system specs? In addition, if you had problems after 4.702 update (but not before), perhaps the problems are not due to the performance of your PC, but something specific of the release. You can run the SYN_VANDER benchmark just to be sure that your PC run as expected.

So instead of sending my spec info I have come to the conclusion that I will not bother updating my vid card and other upgrades but rather go with a entirely new game system. Main reason is relative cost. The info provided is really helpful in determining what my goals will be though. BTW.. that video cardbenchmark link is awesome. Looks like there are about to be more upgrades on the horizon that will acerbate issues anyway. Personally as frustrating as drawing from the cash well is ... I love the game upgrades and never want to see them stop. Thanks again!!!
