Someone recently told me that 1946 has a larger multiplayer base than BoX.

 

 Is this true? 

 

If so, how do I find these multiplayer servers?  When I search in the game I don't see anything.

No. It does have a larger overall player base than CLoD at the moment but multiplayer in ‘46 has been blown away by the variety of versions available.

Not as useful nor as many servers listed as there were just two years ago but this site should help you find some active servers.

This awesome game became untenable once mods were introduced. Same will happen to the new one soon enough. Everyone had to have it their way so we ended up with nothing.

Still a pretty devoted base.  Some folks have incredible talents, and have created fantastic modifications to 1946.  It's great stand alone, but the BAT mods are very good.  There is a lot of cooperative "single player" groups lol.  There is a handful of multiplayer servers up and running.  I'm not sure if it's bigger online (publicly) than BoX though.  A handful of private servers running it.  It's still alive.

Before Il2 BOS released, there were hundreds of people in 1946 hyperlobby. It's a bit sad to see it empty now. Let's revive it!
