Best Collector Planes for BoBp and BoN

What would be the ideal choices to flesh out the BoBp and BoN plane sets?  I’ve tried to stick with choices that fit in a 1943/1944 time frame and saw a significant amount of service.  I could picture a couple of these getting made while the follow up to BoN is in production, similar to how we got the Yak-9s and the Hurricane.

P-38H and Spit9c are ones missing, and arnt we getting B-25 already?

The A-26 would add more variety to the game

I had to put the B-25D down as its just iconic... although I have a secret desire for the A-26 Intruder as it just looks like a badass and out to have fun strafing. Thing is, it was just not as prominent throughout WW2 as the B-25 so ultimately has to be worth the investment so I left it out in the end.

 

And despite having many variants of it... the Bf 109 G-6 A/S just to give something for the Luftwaffe to bite back at the increasingly versatile array of Allied fighters, the P-51B is definitely tough opposition for the existing G-6 Late, G-14 and Fw 190 A-6 of the time...

A lot of good choices for the allies! A-20G would be nice and finally give the USAAF a time period appropriate player flyable bomber, the P-47D-5 would give the devs some incentive to actually go back and revisit the D-22 and D-28 FM and DM....B-26 would be awesome! and again would finally give USAAF a player flyable bomber appropriate for the BoN and BoBP timeframe

The P-51A/A-36 will always be my go to for these polls, but thats operating on the assumption that we'll eventually get a midwar med scenario where it would fit in (hopefully after Normandy.) A bunch of the aircraft in this poll would be perfect for that scenario aswell in the 5x5 planeset.

 

Failing that, the most sensible choice specifically for Normandy, Bodenplatte I think would be one of the American twin engines. We certainly don't need anymore 109s or 190s. and the rest are a bit too early to fit in.

Allied lack of a medium bomber (flyable one).

 

So for the game’s realism, we need the flyable B-26.

 

Considering the next module coming « soon », we need to stick with the date, with an A-20G, the Typhoon 1 and the first variants of the P-47 and 51s.
