New problem with my Reverb G2 "cross eye" feeling

Hi, since a little while I'm having a problem with getting a "cross eyed" feeling in IL-2 (only IL-2 no other game/sim is affected) putting strain on my eyes causing me not to fly.

This is easy detectable by, after the eyes has gotten used to being in game for some minutes, taking off the headset fast and looking at an object some distance away. If it takes a second to get focus in IRL the problem is there.

Has any one else got this lately?

Didn't have this before. IPD in the headset is correct. In-game IPD don't help.

When you hop into a bubble canopy type aircraft, is the canopy frame asymmetrical, one side of the pit distorted and the other not so much?  If you notice any sort of warp in a frame member that should be straight, reset WMR so windows doesn't get any control, and set max resolution in WMR, than try it.

@SvAF/F16_Goblin Check your settings for Windows Mixed Reality that you have Best visual quality selected under Headset display > Experience options. The option Optimize for performance will produce a warping effect in some games.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions.

All settings for WMR are for best quality and resolution, WMR is removed and reinstalled (Steam VR as well).

There is no distortion (bars in cockpit line up) but still there is eye strain in IL-2 not present in DCS or any other VR game.

Something is off since my eyes have to adjust both going in and out of simulation.

IPD setting in the headset is correct and the knob is taped in place so not to move away by accident.

Are you using the openvr fsr mod? If so, then try setting the radius setting to 2, disabling the "only apply FSR in the center" feature and see if that makes any difference.

Had this issue with my G2, got rid of it quickly. Have been happy with strain free eyes in my Index ever since.

I like my G2 ? wont get rid of it yet.

It's perfectly fine in every other game/sim but not in IL-2 since a little while back.

As we know it's an IL-2 bug, messing up it's recognition of the headset and the values it pulls then.

Buying any other headset is a solution, sure, but do you really want to recommend him to buy another headset? He can try simply formatting the OS. No leftovers, no user folder, redownload everything.

We still don't have an idea what to do as users, but we know why it appears (yes, it's indeed solely IL-2). It doesn't take the information properly from OpenVR.

If you close one eye at a time, does the aspect ratio is different between them?
