PatrickAWlson Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 (edited) Getting back into a tank after some time away. I have no turret control. Can't turn it, elevate it, or fire anything. I can drive well enough. I reset the key mappings to default. I then mapped my joystick as well. Neither key nor stick inputs are accepted. I am in the gunners position. Tried mapping turret traverse to the mouse as well - no luck. Ideas? Edited January 11, 2022 by PatrickAWlson
moustache Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Mmmmh, there is a bug that blocks the movement of the turret ... changing position or locking / unlocking sometimes allows you to regain control of it ... if that's not it, then, sorry, not solution ... but congratulations, you discovered another bug ... good luck
PatrickAWlson Posted January 11, 2022 Author Posted January 11, 2022 I finally got around it by designating the mouse as the turret controller and then mapping mouse movement and controls to the turret. The mouse is the only thing that worked. Joystick and keyboard did not.
SIA_Target Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 (edited) Usually it's because you have mouse selected as the controller in the Basic Settings (forgot which one, the one towards the top of the settings page). Joystick should be selected, mouse is default. This one. Edited January 16, 2022 by SIA_Target Can't leave job half done. 1

Angry_Kitten Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 when you changed to gunner position, did you use the take control of keyboard command?

As in Shift-T? yes. CTRL-C to move to the gunner's position. Shift-T to access the gunsight. Did I miss something? BTW: no doubt the problem is in the chair. I'm just trying to figure out what the heck I'm doing wrong. Edited February 6, 2022 by PatrickAWlson
PatrickAWlson Posted February 6, 2022 Author Posted February 6, 2022 The answer is T CTRL-C until you are at the gunner T to control the turret (why do I have to press this? If I am in the gunners position isn't it obvious that I want to control the turret?) Shift-T to nestle to the gunsight. Nice video here: 1
352ndOscar Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 The simple answer Pat is the Turret/gun locking system they put in place several releases ago. The code has the gun being put into “Road Travel” position when ever it’s “not in use” instead of a “prepared to fire/centered/ready for combat position” when it’s not in use. We’ve complained, but like all things TC, it falls on deaf ears……
jollyjack Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 (edited) Sdkfz10-5: It's the same for me, buggy? .... Example: i can't get back to drivers position with the side boards in traveling position once the gun is been active. Edited July 14, 2022 by jollyjack
