ITAF_Artiglio Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 (edited) This package depicts some historic vehicles that belonged to the Royal Army and others completely invaded eg: Panzer Tiger I Have fun gentlemen https://www.mediafire.com/file/ulmdqled21w2kdk/Il2+BoS+Skins+Tanks+and+Vehicles+Italian.rar/file Edited January 9, 2022 by ITAF_Artiglio 1
Frinik22 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 As we suspected all along. The Devious Italians were behind the invasion of the Soviet Union. Operazione Barbarossa (Even the name which means Red Beard is Italian! How could we not see through that before?)! The poor , hapless Germans were the fall guys who took all the blame!!! Thank you ITAF_Artiglio for bringing the incontrovertible historical evidence of the devious Italian plan and rewriting history!! ?
ITAF_Artiglio Posted January 10, 2022 Author Posted January 10, 2022 Thanks for the Frinik22 correction, I have a lot of "love" for you ...? 1
Frinik22 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 ITAF_Artiglio, you realize that I was speaking in jest ( joke) right? ?Otherwise nice work you have done. I am going to use it to add a bit of variety for the German side..? 1
ITAF_Artiglio Posted January 10, 2022 Author Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) But I know you were joking, indeed I thank you for the compliments. And just to be transparent I wrote in the post "some Historical vehicles" so it was understood that they were not all the vehicles represented by my historical skins. "I think I made myself clear" I am attaching some photos that inspired me for this work: Regarding the Panzer III the skin is totally of my creation, as the real Panzer III.M would have had the same livery as the Panzer IV.G or true both belonged to the 1st Division (M) the "M" stood for Mussolini. The GAZ-MM-72K, on the other hand, inspired me by the similarity to the Fiat 634 Transport truck of the Royal Army, with an anti-aircraft gun variant, while for the SdKfz10-5, some time ago I saw its use in a book in the departments of the Regio Army in North Africa, and even in this case, not having material at my disposal to view, I made my imagination travel. This work but as well as other works done in the past, as I have always said and argued does not want to be a competition to a race to who has the longest, but simply only for pure fun, and last but not least. imported as a skinner I am a sucker, good people around both here and elsewhere in the field of skins you will find plenty. So in conclusion, download these damn skins and enjoy ????? Edited January 10, 2022 by ITAF_Artiglio
Frinik22 Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Damn! Since you are asking so nicely I'll download you damned skins and damn use them? Any objection Signore?? Seriously, I wasn't aware that the Italians ever used Panthers or is it purely your creation? BTW as an Italian this panzer ace might be of interest to you: https://www.warlordgames.com/tank-war-profile-alfredo-carpaneto/ 1
ITAF_Artiglio Posted January 11, 2022 Author Posted January 11, 2022 In reality the Panthers had been deployed for the royal army and the RSI afterwards ... but they were never delivered, given the progress of the war and above all the eternal indecisions of incompetents put in command posts by Mussolini himself ... a example of senseless war production lamps is the constant banging of the head in building the "infamous Fiat CR-42" when it is possible to set up production lines and build the BF.109 under license or panzers in which we Italians were harnessed in the systematic bolted cart tracked, when in front of a T-34, a Cromwell, an M4 Sherman etc ... how could the Italian tankers have the upper hand? And yet they fought knowing that from the beginning they were inferior ... Just as the Italian pilots had to compete with badly armed and obsolete planes against Spitfire, Hurricane, Yak, P51 etc ... etc .. etc ... Honor to them for the courage shown in battle without being afraid to face what stood before them. I know very little about Alfredo Carpaneto, and I thank you for sending me the link ?
Frinik22 Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Actually I remember reading an article about a FIAT fighter who was extremely good and which the German pilots loved and praised. Ah it's the FIAT G 55 Centauro which the Luftwaffe itself regarded as the bets Axis fighter . Given that they had the FW 190 which was itself almost best in its class these are words of praise indeed! Yeah Italy was badly prepared to fight the war and Mussolini's military incompetence did not help. Given good equipment and competent leaders, Italian soldiers could hold their own. The Ariete division is one good example. 1
