CaptainKoloth Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Hello everyone: I recently switched jobs and unfortunately I have waaaaaaaaay less time for gaming now. I'm trying to figure out ways I can play missions in smaller chunks because many of them as you can be multiple hours and it's just really hard for me to carve out that much time right now. I can't save games... time compression is pretty wonky.... I even tried to git gud. The only other idea I had was trying to put the computer to sleep mid mission and resume later. However, every time I try this, the game crashes. Has anyone ever managed to do this successfully? One thing I was wondering about was whether a RAM upgrade would help (I only have 16 GB), but I'd like to know for certain that someone out there can successfully do this with any amount of RAM before spending the money to upgrade!
dburne Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 (edited) You are not going to be able to sleep the computer mid mission and resume mission upon waking. Best maybe try to fly shorter missions? Edit: PWCG campaign generator offers air starts that might help. Plus on the return to base long as you are in friendly territory you can exit the mission safely, don't have to actually fly and land at the base for a successful mission. You can read about PWCG here: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/99-pat-wilson-campaign-generator/ Edited January 9, 2022 by dburne
grcurmudgeon Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 You can always pause time in the game until you come back later.
