Thinking about getting the Next Level V3

Does anyone here have an opinion about using the NLR motion platform?  I am currently using a buttkicker and love it, but toying with the idea of an upgrade.

Do I still need / want the buttkicker if I have a motion platform?

Thanks

I really enjoy my NLR V3 motion platform, though I also backed the Yaw2 Kickstarter. I hope to actually receive my Yaw2 sometime this spring.

I saw a few videos from CES in Las Vegas this week demos of a Chinese and a Korean motion platforms, though no idea how they will compare.

Another great immersive addition is the SimShaker JetPad, which I highly recommend. I find it better than the Buttkicker, though you can also use a Buttkicker on a motion platform that doesn’t yaw too far.

Here are three threads relevant to your question:

I had the V3. I made quite some experiments with it.
In the end i sold it for some reasons:
1. I get to fly too little so the money is too much for me to just sit around

2. Not having my legs moved together with the seat was kind of an immersion breaker. At first i solved this by building my own seat construction wich had the pedals attacked to the mover. But that turned out to be too heavy overall.
Switched to a NLR Rig and left the feet on the ground. But that just didnt feel right for me.

Immersionwise Seatmovers are great. I will probably go for one again one day. But if, then one wich moves me and the whole cockpit. Not just the seat.
