Binding Modifier on TWCS

Hey Guys, 

Can someone explain me how i correctly Bind a Modifier (like L-Shift) on one of the orange buttons on my TWCS ? 
If I try to bind it with J2K or Joystick Gremlin, it works perfectly fine in Windows. But in-game, if i want to finally bind something like modifier+another HAT-Button, it says i am pushing the Modifier (like Shift) and the Button I put the modifier on.. 

I hope someone can tell me how i fix this. Thanks !

In game controls assignment don't press the TWCS button that you set for press L-Shift, just press L-Shift in keyboard.

Thanks a lot. I am feeling a bit stupid, but hey ! ?

Another way is to press and hold the TWCS button before you open the setting for the command you want then press the button you want to designate.
