jollyjack Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 After a good few months using it i find Haluter's quite useful for skin personal bookkeeping at least. I sometimes wonder a little about how much use it provides for other IL2 players & gamers, thus not only for skinners, but in general use. Compared to the old way of finding skins on IL2's site here and various other sites it's a real time saver. Of course there's some points that can be improved, guess to be discussed on discord and not here. Chapeau for Haluter, BlackHellHound and Alonzo for making it possible and maintaining it. And also breaking the 7525 skins uploaded sound-barrier: we'll arrive at the moon soon(er). 2 1
schwarzerHund Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 I will add my kudos to Haluter, BlackHellHound and Alonzo wholeheartedly!! I have found it to be very useful, indeed- as a player and a skinner- and chip in a couple bucks each month to keep it rolling. I think it's a great resource- and provides some organizational sanity to finding skins for particular aircraft or from particular skinners whose work I really enjoy. The old way of sorting through hundreds of thread pages to find skins was a bit maddening- you always knew you were missing some great stuff somewhere! I wish that every skinner was taking advantage of this great system- but, as always, we each have our preferred way of doing things. 3
jollyjack Posted November 25, 2023 Author Posted November 25, 2023 (edited) Some idea for a new update? A time-saver? The large amount of skins could use a PERSONAL favorite marker, as it takes time searching for a specific type skin. Often i loose interest looking around, after seeking again through all 'cause i cannot remember where i saw an earlier find i might have liked better. Edited November 25, 2023 by jollyjack 1 1
Clyber Posted June 24 Posted June 24 I get what you mean about it being hard to keep track of skins you like. I’ve lost count of how many times I found a cool skin, scrolled past it, and then forgot where it was later. Being able to mark favorites would make it so much easier when you have tons to look through, especially as collections keep growing.
